Kurayoshi – Pure Malt Whisky, Matsui Whisky (70cl)

This is Kurayoshi Pure Malt Whisky, a Japanese blended malt from Matsui Whisky, in a 70cl bottle with a box. It is bottled by hand in small batches at the Kurayoshi distillery, which gives the range its name. The whisky is matured for at least three years in white oak casks that previously held bourbon. The colour is deep golden with amber highlights. The nose shows delicate oak and malt, then honey and raisin. The palate is soft, with light vanilla and toasting.
