L'Encantada Larège 1986 Armagnac (50cl, 40.6%)

This is a single cask Armagnac distilled in 1986 at Domaine Larège and bottled by L'Encantada at 40.6% in a 50cl bottle. The nose is bold and fruity, with waxiness, dried and polished oak, spice, a touch of sherry influence, fresh-cut spring grass, soft honey, glazed cashews and a little pepper. On the palate toffee and mango sit alongside dark chocolate, dried spices and apricot. Apples and dates dominate, with vanilla, toasted cinnamon bun and a gentle sweet chilli richness in the middle. The finish is warming and smooth.
