La Orden del Libertador Blended Chardonnay Cask Finish (75cl, 43%)

La Orden del Libertador Blended Chardonnay Cask Finish is an Argentinian blended whisky made from malt and grain whiskies, bottled at 43% in a 75cl bottle. It is lightly peated, and the producer describes it as its first whisky of that kind. The whisky was matured in oak, then spent a further three years in just six ex-Chardonnay oak casks from Rio Negro. Only 1564 bottles were filled. It is non-chill-filtered and of natural colour. The tasting notes mention green apple and caramelised pear, with moss and damp earth, and a character that is complex and intense.
