La Porta di Vertine Chianti Classico DOCG is a red wine from Bertinga, made in the heart of the Chianti region on calcareous soils. Sangiovese predominates, blended with Canaiolo and Colorino.
Fermentation takes place in stainless steel tanks, followed by ageing in oak barrels. On the nose it offers ripe cherry, spices and a light note of tobacco and leather from the wood ageing.
The palate is robust yet harmonious, with well-integrated tannins and balanced acidity, leading to a long and pleasantly persistent finish.
