This is an 11 year old single malt from Teaninich, a Highland distillery on the Black Isle, bottled by Lady of the Glen at cask strength, 58.2% ABV, in a 70cl bottle. It comes from a single cask, number 713240b, finished in a refill octave that previously held peated Islay whisky. 55 bottles were filled, natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose offers winter spices, caramelised nuts and dried fruit, with butterscotch and sweet peat smoke. The palate opens with vanilla creme, peppered strawberries and chocolate brownie. On the finish, barbecued pineapple meets drier root ginger and liquorice.
