A peated nine-year-old Highland single malt from Tomatin, bottled by Lady of the Glen from a single cask at a cask strength of 61.1%, in a 70cl bottle. It was finished in an ex-PX octave, and 44 bottles were filled. The whisky is natural colour and non-chill-filtered.
The nose offers light, incense-like smoke with golden syrup cake, woodsmoke and charred bell pepper, over sweet cinnamon, honey and roasted barley. Smoky honey and peppery warmth lead the palate, with cured meats and charred stone fruits. The finish is long, the sweetness giving way to earthy peat, ginger and peppered oatcakes.
