Lagavulin 11 Year Old Manager's Dram is an Islay single malt bottled in 2013 for Diageo staff. It is a limited edition in a 70cl bottle, bottled at natural cask strength of 57.1% ABV.
The nose is salty and peaty, with fresh ripe apple, tart blackberries, lemon zest, cinnamon and rosemary. On the palate come oaky vanilla, dried apricots, dark chocolate bitterness and sweet honey, with peat smoke, lemon, sea salt and baking spices. The finish is long and warming, with spiced pear, toasted wood and a soothing smokiness.
