Lagavulin 11 Year Old Sweet Peat is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 48% ABV. It was aged for 11 years in ex-bourbon casks and is a limited edition, separate from the Offerman Edition. It is non-chill filtered.
The cask influence softens the peat smoke of the Lagavulin style with sweeter, mellow notes of honey, vanilla and charred oak.
The nose is sweet smoke and sea spray, with hints of vanilla bean and citrus zest. The palate brings caramelised sugar, honey, charred oak, peat smoke and subtle spice. The finish is long and warming, with smoky embers and creamy sweetness.
