Lagavulin 12 Year Old is an Islay single malt from the 2022 Diageo Special Releases, bottled at cask strength. It was matured in virgin oak and Lagavulin Smokiest Reserves, giving dense peat smoke, sea salt and spicy oak.
The nose is intense peat smoke and charcoal with maritime notes. The palate is oily and sweet at first, with citrus fruit, sea salt and strong peat smoke. The finish is long, smoky and spicy.
