Lagavulin 12 Year Old is a cask strength Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, issued as part of the 2020 Special Release. It is a single vintage, matured in traditional refill American oak casks.
The nose opens slowly, with ash and linseed oil, then a light fruity note and a clean whiff of sea air. The texture is smooth and the taste is intense, deeply smoky and sweeter than expected. The finish is long and commanding.
