This is a 12 year old Islay single malt from Lagavulin, released as part of the Diageo Special Release 2023 and named The Ink of Legends. It is bottled at a natural cask strength of 56.4% ABV in a 70cl bottle, without added colour and without chill-filtration.
The distillery is known for a smoky character from peated malt. Here the whisky was finished in Don Julio Anejo tequila casks, which bring herbal notes. It has a golden colour and a creamy, soft texture.
