Lagavulin 12 Year Old The Ink of Legends is the 2023 Special Release from Islay. The Malt Master took inspiration from the symbols of the ancient Mesoamerican art of tattoo.
The whisky is finished in Don Julio Añejo tequila casks and bottled at natural cask strength in a 75cl bottle.
The nose combines sea air, citrus and ripe berries with intense herbal smoke. The palate is sweet with juicy plums and a hint of saltiness, turning more herbal and smoky, and the finish is long and warming with a hint of spice.
