Lagavulin 12 Years The Ink Of Legends is a 2023 Special Release single malt from Islay, inspired by Aztec and Mexican culture. It is bottled at natural cask strength.
The whisky spends 12 years in ex-bourbon casks and is then finished in Don Julio Añejo tequila casks.
The nose is salty, with seaweed and grilled tropical fruit. The palate is herbal and intense, with peat and brine alongside lemon, ash and pineapple. The finish is long and spicy, with black pepper and vanilla.
