Lagavulin 16 Year Old is an Islay Scotch whisky, matured for 16 years on the island and bottled in a 70cl bottle. Its colour is a fairly pale straw with golden glints.
The nose is smoky, with peat, sweet pipe tobacco, Lapsang Souchong tea and aromatic herbs, notably dry bay leaf. On the palate it is full and peaty, with ample softness. The finish is very long and marine, rich in iodine and saltiness.
