This is a 16 year old Lagavulin from Islay in a one litre bottle, bottled by White Horse Distillers Ltd of Glasgow. It comes with its original presentation carton.
At the time, Lagavulin was owned by Distillers Company Limited and White Horse Distillers, a business that later became part of Diageo, the present owner. A duty-free stamp on the bottle shows it was bought before Lagavulin's 16 year old was named one of the six classic malts.
