It is an official bottling of 6000 bottles at a cask strength of 49.5%, in a 70cl bottle. The whisky was drawn from European oak ex-bodega sherry butts and refill American oak hogsheads, chosen by Iain McArthur. The nose is complex, with verbena, yellow chartreuse, citron, limestone, smoked salmon, homemade custard, raw wool and fresh mint. The palate is citrusy, mentholated, smoky and coastal, turning peppery and grassy. The finish is extremely long, peppery and smoky, with green tea and lime.

About Glenbotal

The idea of Glenbotal came to us naturally: as whisky lovers, we were always on the lookout for new experiences in the whisky world. That’s why we created Glenbotal and became our very own first customers. We buy unique and hard to find spirits from ballots and private collections. Then, we share them with a small circle of friends and people who can appreciate a good dram.
