Lagavulin Grain & Embers is a 12 year old Islay single malt from the 2025 Special Release, bottled at a cask strength of 56.5% ABV in a 70cl bottle.
It was matured in refill casks together with European oak butts seasoned with Pedro Ximénez and Oloroso sherry.
The nose opens with hearth smoke, toasted bread crust and embers, then dried figs, raisins and dark toffee. On the palate, rich sherry sweetness meets maritime peat, with spice, cocoa and a lingering ashy warmth.
