Lagavulin – Sweet Peat 11 Year Old Single Malt Scotch Whisky (75cl, 43%)

Lagavulin Sweet Peat is an 11 year old Islay single malt, a limited edition bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle. It was distilled at Lagavulin on the southern coast of Islay and matured in a mix of ex-bourbon and sherry casks. The aim is a gentler, sweeter side of the distillery's peated character, keeping the smoky core alongside fruit, vanilla and toffee. The nose brings warm smoke, honeyed apple, pear and citrus peel, with vanilla custard and toasted oak beneath. On the palate, peat smoke and sea spray come first, followed by ripe stone fruit, sticky toffee pudding and brown sugar.
