Lagavulin Sweet Peat is an 11 year old Islay single malt Scotch whisky, bottled at 43% ABV in a 750ml bottle.
It was aged entirely in first-fill American oak ex-bourbon casks. Its sweetness comes from the oak and the malt, with nothing added, and it sits alongside Lagavulin's peat smoke.
The palate opens with gentle sweetness and salinity before bonfire smoke and oak spice come into focus. Honeyed malt and toffee apple build through the middle, and the long finish carries peat smoke, dark chocolate and soft vanilla.
