Lagavulin The Distiller's Edition 2024 is a limited-edition Islay single malt, bottled at 43%. It is double matured, with the peat smoke Lagavulin is known for joined by a finish in Pedro Ximénez sherry casks.
The sherry finish adds dried fruit, caramel and sweet spice to the smoky spirit.
The nose combines peat smoke, dark chocolate, raisins and figs, with sea salt and oak behind. On the palate smoke and sweetness meet caramel, dark fruit and a little vanilla. The finish is long and warming, with smoke, peat, oak and a touch of spice.
