A robust, velvety red wine from Alto Adige, made from the native Lagrein grape. It shows an intense, almost impenetrable red colour, with aromas of ripe blackberries and raspberries alongside chocolate and vanilla from barrique ageing. On the palate it is powerful yet elegant, with balanced tannins, a full body and notes of leather and tobacco leading to a long, persistent finish. Serve at 16-18°C, ideally with rich meat dishes, game or aged cheeses.
