Lagrein Alto Adige DOC - St. Michael Eppan

A red wine from St. Michael Eppan, made from Lagrein in the Alto Adige DOC. It shows a deep ruby colour with violet reflections. Dark berry fruit, plum and blackberry, sit alongside delicate violet notes and light spicy, herbal touches, with earthier hints adding complexity. On the palate it has structure and present but generally well-integrated tannins, supported by freshness that keeps it lively. It suits roast or braised meats, mushrooms, medium-aged cheeses and moderately spiced dishes. Serve not too warm; a brief decant may help with younger bottles.
