Lagrein Steinraffler Alto Adige DOC - Tenuta J Hofstatter

A red wine from Tenuta J Hofstatter, Alto Adige DOC. Deep ruby with violet reflections, it opens with black berry fruit, plum and ripe cherry, light floral notes reminiscent of violet, and a hint of sweet spice and cocoa. On the palate it is full-bodied and structured, with perceptible but mature tannins, lively acidity and a tannic frame that carries the wine to a pleasantly fruity finish. It pairs naturally with roast meats, braised dishes, game, Alpine dishes, aged cheeses and mushroom dishes.
