Finest Select is a Chinese single malt from the Laizhou distillery in Qionglai, Sichuan, bottled at 40% in a 70cl bottle. It is a multi-cask bottling that brings together whisky from Chinese liqueur wine casks, new American oak casks, Pedro Ximénez sherry casks and ex-bourbon casks.
Notes of Wuyi rock tea are part of its character. The nose pairs floral, toasted Wuyi black tea with red apple, fragrant pear, grape and cinnamon. On the palate it is soft, silky and airy, with ripe yellow fruit and creamy pastry, leading to a long, fine finish of dried fruit and gentle spice.
