A Lalande de Pomerol from Château Les Hauts Consellants with a direct, pleasant character. In the glass it shows ripe black fruit moving towards plum and dark cherry, with light hints of cocoa and spice that do not dominate. The palate is soft and enveloping, medium to full bodied; acidity keeps the wine lively and the tannins are round and well integrated, giving balanced structure and pleasant drinking persistence. It suits roasted or baked meats, light game, hard cheeses and mushroom-based dishes, served around 16-18 °C.
