Lamb's Navy Rum is a sugar-cane based Caribbean rum, here a bottling from the 1970s at 70 degrees proof, which is 40% vol. The rum dates back to 1849, when Alfred Lamb, a 22-year-old Londoner and son of the wine and spirits merchant William Lamb, blended 18 different rums from Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica and Trinidad. That blend became Lamb's Navy Rum.
