Langley's First Chapter Gin (70cl, 38%)

Langley's First Chapter is an English gin from Langley Distillery, bottled at 38% in a 70cl bottle. It is made to a traditional recipe using ten classic natural ingredients, and the distillery works by traditional methods and by hand. Langley Distillery was founded in 1920 as a gin distillery, which makes it one of the oldest privately owned gin distilleries in England. Before that, the site had been a brewery. The gin is clear in the glass. Juniper and lemon peel lead on the nose, followed by coriander. On the palate juniper is moderate, with lemon peel and delicate spice behind it. It is light and soft, and suits a classic gin and tonic.
