Laphroaig 10 Year Old is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle at 40%, bottled before 2013. It is made using traditional malting floors and Islay peat fires, and is noted for a peated profile with balanced smokiness and maritime influences.
The nose is intense peat smoke with hints of seaweed and a little sweetness. The palate has rich caramel and toasted nuts against peppery spice, and the finish is long and smoky, with lingering toffee.
