Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 13 is an Islay single malt bottled at 57.9% vol. in a 70cl bottle. It matured for ten years in ex-bourbon casks and is non-chill-filtered, bottled at cask strength.
The nose brings sweet cereal and pastry notes, fresh oak, cedar smoke and honey, with pipe tobacco, old leather, a hint of candle wax, vanilla cream and nutmeg. The palate is sweet and spicy: charred staves, marshmallow, toffee, sea salt and caramel wafers, with roasted coffee, white pepper and ground cinnamon. The finish is floral, with spicy tannins, iodine and sea salt.
