Laphroaig 10 Year Old Cask Strength Batch 14 is a single malt bottled at cask strength, 57.9%, in a 70cl bottle. It matured for ten years in ex-bourbon casks and is non-chill-filtered.
The nose has sweet cereal and pastry notes, fresh oak, cedar and a little honey, rounded off with strong pipe tobacco and vanilla. The palate is sweet and spicy, with lightly charred cask staves, marshmallow, white pepper and cinnamon. The finish is floral, with spicy tannins, iodine and sea salt.
