Laphroaig 10 Year Old Original Cask Strength is an Islay single malt in a one-litre bottle, bottled straight from the cask at its natural strength of 55.7% ABV.
The nose brings fresh apple and ripe pear, dried apricot, and liquorice with a hint of nutmeg, over oak from charred barrels. On the palate there is honeyed malt and orange zest, with cinnamon, sea salt and a warm, oily texture, alongside smoky peat, demerara sugar and creamy vanilla.
The finish is medium to long, with toasted almond, citrus pith and peppery peat.
