Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Finish is an Islay single malt from the distillery in the south of the island, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle.
Its finish is in oloroso sherry casks. The Islay peat is cut by hand and the barley is malted at the distillery. The colour is reddish brown.
The nose is sweet and peaty, with manuka honey, clove, smoked bacon, leather, iodine and pine tar. The palate is sweet and aromatic, with wax, molasses toffee, maple syrup, dark chocolate, pine needles, cedar wood and a little sherry. The finish is long, sweet and spicy, with chestnut honey.
