Laphroaig 10 Year Old Sherry Oak Finish is an Islay single malt whisky in a 70cl bottle. It is matured in ex-bourbon barrels, then finished in European oak Oloroso sherry casks.
The classic peated character of Laphroaig meets layered sweetness and spice from the second maturation.
The nose combines medicinal peat smoke with Manuka honey, smoky bacon, leather, iodine and a strong clove aroma. On the palate it is sweet and aromatic, with waxy richness, toffee, maple syrup, dark chocolate, pine needles and cedar. The finish is lingering sweetness, smouldering peat smoke, nutty notes and a subtle briny edge.
