This is a ten-year-old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, bottled at 48% in a 70cl bottle. The malted barley is dried over a peat fire, using Islay peat, and the distillery stands close to the sea.
The whisky first matured in American oak casks, then received a further period in Oloroso sherry casks.
The combination is described as bringing honey, bacon and maple syrup alongside peat smoke, seaweed and sea salt.
