Laphroaig 10 Year Old is an Islay single malt, described as the original Laphroaig. It is made today in the same way as when Ian Hunter devised it. The malted barley is dried over a fire of peat that is found only on Islay, which gives the whisky its full flavour. It is typically described as opening with pronounced smoke, followed by a touch of seaweed and an unexpected sweetness.
