Laphroaig 10 Year Old is an Islay single malt in a 75cl bottle. It is the core Laphroaig expression, the one the other bottlings in the range are built on.
The malted barley is dried over a peat fire, and the smoke from Islay peat shapes the whisky's rich flavour. It is made in the same way as when Ian Hunter first created it, more than 75 years ago.
The taste opens with bold smoke, followed by a hint of seaweed and an unexpected sweetness. It is full-bodied, with a long finish.
