Laphroaig 10 Year Old is an Islay single malt bottled at 40%, and one of the smokier standard expressions from the island.
It is noted for richness, complexity and body in greater measure than is usual for a ten year old. A small splash of water is said to bring out more flavour.
The flavours run to iodine, peat smoke and seaweed, with some unexpected sweetness, spice and fruit.
