Laphroaig 10 Years is an Islay single malt, aged for ten years and sold in a 70cl bottle. The distillery is one of eight on the island, and its name is usually explained as meaning the beautiful hollow by the broad bay. It holds the Royal Warrant of the Prince of Wales, which the Prince presented in person on a visit to the distillery. The nose is intense, with smoky peat, salty and iodine notes and a marked medicinal character. The palate is complex, deep and warm, and follows the nose.
