This is a 15-year-old Islay single malt from Laphroaig, matured in American oak bourbon barrels and bottled at 46% in a 70cl bottle. It pairs the distillery's coastal peat smoke with added maturity.
The nose combines peat smoke, citrus peel, sea salt, vanilla, toasted oak and clove, with a soft medicinal note. On the palate, smoky peat meets citrus, clove spice, vanilla sweetness and coastal brine. The finish is long and smoky, with spice, citrus and sea salt.
