A single malt from Laphroaig on Islay, distilled in 1977 and bottled in 1995 at 43% ABV. It comes in a 75cl bottle.
The nose is sweet and gently smoky, with the classic Laphroaig medicinal note, red apples, walnuts, a touch of olive brine, plum and damp earth.
The palate is thick and slightly sweet, with coffee, black pepper and liquorice, followed by earthy peat, menthol and a little ginger. The finish is of medium length, moving from sweet to savoury with olive juice, liquorice root and lemon zest.
