This Laphroaig is a 25 year old single malt, bottled in 2014 as a cask strength edition at 45.1% ABV. It comes in a 75cl bottle.
It was matured in first-fill Oloroso sherry casks and bourbon casks, giving a peaty expression of the distillery.
The nose is of sherried raisins with a subtle oak influence. The palate has a silky texture and a barley sugar sweetness, and the long finish carries hints of cigar ash and dried peat.
