Laphroaig 25 Year Old Cask Strength 2009 Edition is an Islay single malt matured in a combination of Oloroso sherry and American oak casks. It was bottled in 2009 at a cask strength of 51% ABV, in a 70cl bottle.
The nose offers candied orange, dried apricot and plum, with lychee, cinnamon, clove and a little vanilla. On the palate come caramel, honey, toasted almond and sweet spice, with malt and a touch of smoke in a creamy texture. The finish is very long, leaving spiced oak and gentle peat smoke.
