This is a 25 year old Laphroaig from Islay, a cask strength single malt bottled in 2019 at 52% ABV. It is a limited edition in a 70cl bottle.
The whisky matured in Oloroso sherry and American oak casks. The nose offers ripe pear, dried apricot, red apple with nutmeg and sage, and toasted oak. The palate brings dark chocolate, caramel, cinnamon, honey and a touch of sea brine, with a creamy mouthfeel. The finish is long, with smoky oak and sweet vanilla taffy.
