Laphroaig – 25 Year Old Cask Strength 2021 (70cl, 51.9%)

This is a 25 year old Laphroaig single malt from Islay, bottled at a cask strength of 51.9% in a 70cl bottle. It is a limited edition that matured in ex-bourbon casks and is not chill-filtered. The character is the smoke associated with Islay, with a touch of vanilla and very spicy oak. The colour is gold. The nose is varied, with thyme, flowers, honey, pepper, seaweed and lemon. The palate is smoky and peppery, with herbal notes, honey, citrus, sea salt and a warming spice. The finish is long and very maritime.
