Laphroaig – 25 Year Old Cask Strength (70cl)

This is a 25 year old Laphroaig single malt, bottled at cask strength in a 70cl bottle. It is a marriage of two maturations. Part of the spirit rested in Oloroso sherry casks, second fill, and part in ex-American bourbon barrels, with all of it filled as newly distilled Laphroaig from the start. The sherry casks bring sherried, oaky flavours, while the bourbon barrels add creamy, smooth, sweet ones. Twenty-five years in wood is said to have softened the two styles further.
