Laphroaig 25 Years Old Cask Strength is an Islay single malt from the 2021 edition, bottled at 51.4% vol. in a 70cl bottle. It is non-chill-filtered and bottled at cask strength.
It is a vatting of ex-bourbon casks chosen by the Master Distiller, combining vanilla and oak with Islay's typical peat smoke.
The colour is deep gold. The nose is sweet and floral, with strong thyme, a pot-pourri of light clove and white pepper, fresh peat, Islay seaweed and a little citrus. The finish is dry, with spring flowers and a touch of sea salt.
