This is Laphroaig aged 25 years, a single malt bottled at cask strength.
The nose combines peat smoke, sea water and coastal notes with citrus, fire ash, oysters, bandages, tar and pepper. On the palate, peat smoke and ash come with salt and pepper, smoked bacon, green olives, cigars, earthy tones, anchovies and seaweed.
The finish is long, smoky, fruity and salty, with smoked meat and a buttery note.
