Laphroaig 25 Years Old is an Islay single malt in a 70cl bottle, matured for at least 25 years in a mix of ex-bourbon and ex-Oloroso sherry casks. The distillery stands on the island's south coast and holds a Royal Warrant, granted on 29 June 1994 by Prince Charles.
The nose is spicy and sweet, with vanilla, peanut butter, cherry and maritime peat. The palate is powerful and well structured, balancing spice, smoke and salt, with citrus, chocolate and apple. The finish is persistent, with cinnamon, vanilla, maritime peat and a touch of wood.
