Laphroaig's 30 year old is a peated Islay single malt, bottled at 53.5% ABV in a 700ml bottle. Its whisky was matured twice in bourbon casks.
On the nose there are mandarin, mango, toasted almond and coconut, with aromatic peat oils appearing as cedar, wintergreen and smoked sage. The palate has an oily texture and flavours of orange peel, vanilla and coriander leaf, together with cedar cigar box and wild root ginseng. The finish is long and lingering, with stone fruit and green hand-rolled tobacco.
