Laphroaig 30 Year Old is an Islay single malt Scotch whisky, matured for three decades and bottled non-chill-filtered. It comes in a 750ml bottle.
Thirty years in oak is said to have softened the medicinal smoke and maritime character of Laphroaig into a layered profile, with rich oak, subtle sweetness and mellowed peat.
On the nose it is typically described as soft peat smoke, aged oak, sea air, leather and dried fruit. The palate is deep and complex, with smoky sweetness, dark toffee, roasted malt, vanilla and a little spice. The finish is very long, with peat, oak and a coastal saltiness.
